[Previous] [Main] [Next]

The AutoRecord feature provides for automatic recording of your performances. Once armed (ON), a new recording will begin for each new Performance. Afterwards, you're given the opportunity to Preview the recording, Save it to file, or if it's not quite right, discard it.

·Click the "Setup" link found below the "AutoRecord" label on the Main Screen.

The dialog above will appear...
·Select the "Sound Device" that your Main Computer Speaker System (what you hear from your computer) is driven by.
·Select the Output Port (Channel) that your Main Speaker system utilizes.
·HINT: In most cases, this would be something similar to "Stereo Mix" or "What you hear". Each Sound Device differs, therefore you may need to reference the documentation priovided with the applicable Sound Device for further information.
·PROBLEM: What do I do if there is no "Stereo Mix", "What you hear" or anything similar listed? Please see Problem Resolution below...
·Adjust the "Recording Level (GAIN)" as required to provide optimum recorded audio quality.
·HINT: This is an IMPORTANT setting, and differs with each Sound Device. Many Sound Devices require a very low GAIN setting, while others may require a much higher setting. If your resulting recordings sound distorted, this is most likely caused by too hign of a GAIN setting, try lowering the setting, sometimes significantly to hopefully resolve the distortion.
·Click "OK"

PROBLEM RESOLUTION: If you are unable to find a "Stereo Mix", "What you hear" or anything similar within the "Output Port" selections, the needed port (channel) may be hidden and/or disabled.

To hopefully "unhide" and enable the port (channel) and make it available for use, please follow these steps...
