The Setup Dialog will appear.

Available Setup Options consist of...

GENERAL PREFERENCES

·Startup Options
·Activate Secure KIOSK Mode on launch.
This option, when activated, causes the Remote Request Client to startup and automatically switch to the Secure KIOSK Mode without user intervention. This option should be activated ONLY after you are satisfied with the configuration.
See What is the Secure Kiosk Mode for further information

·Administration Password
·By providing a Administration Password, your Kiosk is protected against unintended and/or malicious activity. Once configured, the password will be required before exiting the Secure Kiosk Mode.
See What is the Secure Kiosk Mode for further information

·Visual Customization
·Here you may designate an image to replace the default LOGO ("Karaoke Kiosk").
Supported Image Formats: BMP, JPG, GIF
Recommended Dimensions: 385x245 pixels

·User Account/Profile Control
·Enable User Profile Control
When activated, all Performers will be required to create a password protected "Performer Profile". The Performer may in the future, login to their Performer Profile and make new requests and/or view and make requests from their Past Performances (History).

·General
·Require Performer's FULL Name (First AND Last Names) while registering or submitting requests.
When activated, all Performers will be required to provide their FULL name when creating their Performer Profile and/or submitting requests.

·Ask Performer for their Email Address while they're creating their Performer Profile. (Applicable only when User Account Control is activated.)
When activated, every new Perfomer will be politely asked for their Email Address while creating their Performer Profile. Of course, the Performer may elect NOT to provide their Email Address by simply leaving it blank.
You may later export the Email Addresses by utilizing the User Account Export Feature provided by the Remote Request Server. (See Managing User Profiles)

·Allow Performers to Request Placement in Rotation?
When activated, your Performers will be given the option of sending a request to be placed in the rotation, without an actual Song Request attached. The performer is free to make a song selection at a later time.

·Maximum allowed Requests Per Session.
Here, you may designate how many song requests a Performer may submit per login session. (Applicable only when User Account Control is activated.)

INPUT/SCREEN

·Input Method
·Depending on your computer configuration and/or capabilities, you may select from either Keyboard or Touchscreen (Onscreen Keyboard) interfaces.

·Screen Reset/Timeout
·To prevent potential confusion when new users approach a Kiosk system that has been left "mid-process" (Previous user did NOT complete their request.), a "Timeout Timer" has been provided. The system monitors user activity, to include keystrokes, mouse movements etc, and if a Screen Reset Period elapses without any activity, the system will automatically flash a "10 Second Timeout Warning" on the screen, and reset the system if there is no further activity within the countdown period (10 Seconds). You may designate the period of inactivity (seconds) BEFORE the 10 Second Timeout Warning appears and begins counting down. EXAMPLE: A 10 Second Reset Period will provide 20 Seconds of inactivity before the system automatically resets.

SEARCH OPTIONS

·Search Mode
The system supports TWO unique Search Modes
·Broad Match:
All Search Words must be found in the applicable field (Title or Artist). The Search words may be anywhere within the field and do NOT have to be relative to each other.
Example: the Search Words My Way will locate My Way, Find My Way, Always on My Mind etc.
NOTE: The user may override the Broad Match by encapsulating the Search Text in QUOTES (")
Example: the Search Words "My Way" will locate My Way, On My Way, Working My Way Back Home, but NOT Always on My Mind.

·Phrase Match:
All Search Words must be found in the applicable field (Title or Artist). The Search words MUST be found EXACTLY as entered, relative to each other as entered.
Example: "My Way" will find "My Way", "Find My Way", but NOT "Always on My Mind"

·Preferential Dup-Eliminator
·Exclude Duplicate Listings
When activated, only ONE matching Song (Song Title and Artist Name match EXACTLY) will be listed within the Search Results.

·Preferred Brand(s):
You may designate your Brand Preferences (Preferred Brands to be listed when duplicates exist.) by entering their TWO CHARACTER Brand Identifier (CB = Chartbuster), separating each preference with a semi-colon (NO SPACES!). Example: CB;SC;PI;DK would indicate CB as your FIRST preference, SC Second... etc. (Typically, the first TWO characters of the original Karaoke CD+G Disc ID are the Brand Identifiers)

·Exclude Filter
Enter the text phrase(s), that if found anywhere within the Title or Artist Name, will be excluded from the displayed listings to the user. Separate each text string with a semicolon. (NO SPACES)
Example: "w/vocal;duet;vocals" will filter out "My Way by Frank Sinatra w/vocals" etc.

·Display Options
Do NOT display Brand/Series in Search Results
Activate this option if you do NOT wish to have the Brand/Series designators displayed as part of the search results.

NETWORK SETTINGS

·Request Server Network Settings

·Enable Server Auto-Discovery
When activated, the system will automatically attempt to identify and resolve the IP Address (Internet Protocol Address) of the Remote Request Server.
The Remote Request Server MUST already be loaded and running!

·Request Server IP:
Depending on your network configuration (Firewall etc.), the Server Auto-Discovery may NOT be able to identify and resolve the Remote Request Server automatically.
In this case, you may obtain the actual IP displayed on the Remote Request Server dialog (see image below) and enter the complete IP manually.
Be sure to disable the Server Auto-Discovery option!
