Using the FillerTunes RapidSearch Feature

To facilitate the "Rapid" searching and addition of FillerTunes Audio Files, CompuHost includes the optional "RapidSearch" feature. This feature utilizes a "pre-configured" index (see Configuring RapidSearch below) for virtually immediate results to all file name queries.

Before using the RapidSearch feature, it must be configured and indexed. To do so...

1, Click the "Configure Indexed Folders" (RapidSearch Dialog Below- Item F) button. The dialog will expand exposing the configuration options shown above. This dialog allows you to "Add" or "Delete" folders that contain the Audio Files you wish included in the Searchable RapidSearch Index.
2. To ADD Folders to the "Folders to Index" list, click the "Add Folder" button (C).
3. To REMOVE Folders from the "Folders to Index" list, click the "Remove Folder" button (D).
4. Locate the desired Folder and click "OK"
5. You may designate that ALL Sub-Folders (Folders contained within the selected Folder(s)) are to be included by "checking" the "Include Sub-Folders" checkbox to the right of each listing. (A)
6. Continue performing steps 2-5 for all folders you wish indexed.
7. After selecting the desired Folder(s), click the "Index Files" button (B) to build the index.
8. After the RapidSearch Index is built, you may click the "Done" button (E) to return the RapidSearch dialog to normal and begin using the RapidSearch feature!

To utilize the RapidSearch feature...
1. Click the FillerTunes Playlist "ADD" button.

Depending on your designated "Default File Adding/Searching Method" (Configurable by clicking "FillerTunes Options")...

"RapidSearch" - The RapidSearch Dialog will immediately appear. If you wish to access the "File Dialog" you may click the "File Dialog" button.

"File Dialog" - The standard "File Dialog will appear.

2. Enter the "Search Text" as desired (A). Depending on the selected "Match By.." (B) option...

"Broad Match" - Enter any combination of search characters. EXAMPLE: Enter "pres elv teddy" to locate the filename "Teddy Bear - Elvis Presley.mp3"

"Phrase" - Enter a specific phrase (sequence of characters) that will be found in the desired song filename. EXAMPLE Enter "Teddy Bear" to locate the file "Teddy Bear - Elvis Presley.mp3" IMPORTANT! Remember that the desired Filename MUST contain the COMPLETE and EXACT phrase as provided in order to be properly located.

3. Select the desired "Match By" method (B).

"Broad Match" - Locates ALL filenames that contain the provided character sequences in ANY order. EXAMPLE: Enter "pres elv teddy" to locate the filename "Teddy Bear - Elvis Presley.mp3"

"Phrase" - Locates ALL filenames that contain the COMPLETE and EXACT phrase provided as the Search Text. EXAMPLE Enter "Teddy Bear" to locate the file "Teddy Bear - Elvis Presley.mp3"

4. Click the "Search" button (C). All matching filenames will be listed.
5. Click on the desired file(s) from the list. You may also utilize the CTRL-LEFTCLICK method to select multiple individual files, or the SHIFT-LEFTCLICK method to select multiple consecutive listings.
6 Click the "Add Selected File(s) to Playlist" button (G).

HINT! You may also "double-click" a listing to immediately add the selected listing to the FillerTunes Playlist.

7. You may switch to the File Dialog at anytime by clicking "File Dialog" (H).
