Cause
CompuHost imposes a limit of 128 characters for
the full pathname of each MP3+G file. The pathname is comprised of
the entire filename including the entire folder path. As an
example, the filename "C:\Karaoke Songs\SC8101-12 - Sinatra, Frank
- My Way.zip" is made up of 56 characters, well within the 128
character limit. However, if the user utilizes embedded folders
with longer folder names, this limit may be exceeded, thus
generating the Error 9 message.
Remedy
To remedy this error, the entire path/filename
must be reduced to 128 characters or less. This may be
accomplished by using shorter folder names and/or embedding less
folders.
Also, if placing the files in your "My Documents" folder, the
pathname can get EXTREMELY long due to Windows XP applying user
information to the path name. For this reason you should simply
create a separate folder, directly off of the root. Example:
"C:\Karaoke Songs\", and place all ripped files in this folder. |
